What did you get?

It only takes one

Are you a student of the markets? Do you read books? Find the ones that speak to you the re-read them and then read them again? Listen to podcasts? Watch interviews with top investors? I do all of those and then some. On a very regular basis, and with intention. The markets are my career, my vocation and “my passion” if you will. ( one of my passions, I weld metal sculpture art also )

Today I watched an interview online with an Options Market Maker from Britain. Smart guy no doubt, was a Market Maker for 30 years. Brought some great insights, but it was his attitude that I couldn’t connect with. His whole “Hark! We are the Market Makers, and the rest of you shan’t be allowed to prevail” false narrative was one I can’t say that we see often.

In real life I know many former Stock Market Makers from different exchanges around the country.. A few from the Options exchange in Chicago too, ( CBOE ) none of them speak the way he did. None of them. Just yesterday a former Options M.M. buddy of mine and I were emailing back and forth. His message was about give and take, but that there is space for all of us to succeed. If we are open enough to seeing things from others perspectives.

Right now is a time that we need to be looking at our charts not just how we normally do, but from varying perspectives. Multiple time frames, different moving averages, seeing a theme?

NVDA and CMG are just 2 that are recovering ( or trying too ) from steep losses. Both have very useful charts. As you look at the Daily then the Weekly you can began to get a clearer picture… The chart of AMZN is only what, one week ago? It was at the bottom of the channel then, wanna guess where it is now? Technical Analysis isn’t magic. It doesn’t guarantee success or where price is going. What is does offer is an illustration of Buyers VS Sellers.

And by examining our charts from other perspectives combined with Trade Management, we then offer ourselves a better chance to “prevail”

Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
