Stocks were pretty mixed today…. A few held on, but a lot of red on the boards, most at the EOD
$DJIA ( ▲ 0.19% )
$SPY ( ▼ 0.4% )
$QQQ ( ▼ 0.46% )
$GOOG ( ▲ 0.22% ) which is one of ours did fairly well
$SMCI ( ▼ 0.7% ) was highlighted this morning, we took that position
Do you recall this morning how I said that we weren’t picking trade sides here?
That was the right call, currently our Strangle position is:
Call side down $51.00
Put side up $132.00
That is per contract, not bad for not having to get it right, pretty darn good for a safety play actually
Stocks like $META ( ▼ 1.15% ) $AMZN ( ▼ 0.83% ) and $CAT ( ▼ 0.64% ) are all stuck at the moment
They aren’t alone, this Friday MAY 16, 2025 is MAY OPEX
Market Makers are allowing Theta / Time Decay to work to their side
One that used to be a friend of ours way back when is $PLNT ( ▼ 0.57% )
PLNT surprised everyone today, we don’t chase stocks
And we here at theoptionscoach.net don’t keep miles long watch lists, what we do however get is a reaffirmation that there’s always another stock, and another day
