GM beat earnings this morning, but they are not going to release forward guidance until Thursday, as they now want to “re-assess” That’s not something you see every day

Years ago I got to have a few conversations with Jan Arps. Mr. Arps is the author of the book “The Complete Idiots Guide to Technical Analysis” What’s really cool about that book is it comes with a physical CD in it to go along with the book. The man is detailed
In one of our talks Mr Arps told me “A chart is a chart, is a chart is a chart, if a pattern isn’t there, it’s not there”. And I agree

Many charts right now don’t have patterns. Not every stock is a GOOG with its phenomenal Double Bottom coming off of a base on a 3 year chart
Right now MSTR is in the makings of a Cup with Handle, should it continue our entry here could prove that we got in at the right time

This morning we’re not adding any new plays
As prices are trying to stabilize we’re allowing the charts to set up to our favor
With the S+P 500 stuck at the 5,500 area
And the SPY stuck at the 550 area
Investors who are too eager for fresh entries here could get “the slow burn” until we get that much needed Volume we here at theoptionscoach.net mentioned yesterday
