Pre Market SEP 19, 2024

Futures are screaming here this morning!! Almost everything is up here in the Pre Market….. Did you get outside to see the full moon with the partial eclipse last night? I am soooo into that stuff, astronomy, not astrology… Science tells us that it’s the moons cycles that drive the oceans tides. We never see the “Dark Side of the moon” The Earth orbits so that we only see the “Bright Side” fully once a month, that is then the Full Moon. It’s caused from the Suns beams hitting off of it… 3rd grade science I know, still pretty cool

What we just did this past week with CAT is just like that
Our profit of 167.75% or $19,513.00 in just 3.5 trading days was a result of the Moon, the Sun and the Stars all lining up perfectly ( proverbially )

With Options we can get 167.75% returns 3 times a week without blinking, that’s a no brainer. What is harder to do is get those same 167.75% returns using strategies that were as limited risk as CAT was.….Heck those Calendar Spreads were totally covered, there was no down side loss potential in those. The worst case scenario is we would of made nothing and had our money loaned out. That just doesn’t happen every day. Once in a blue moon, or a full moon in our case here

I’ve shared that our strategy here at theoptionscoach.net is simple, very simple
1: We focus on stocks that are breaking out of or building boxes ( bases )
2: We then find which ones fit our criteria for Options ( yes we have a physical checklist for Options, yes we do)
3: We only invest with the ones that have the highest P.O.P. ( Probability of Profit )
With Options we can mathematically understand the probability by percentage value of our outcome
4: We don’t chase trades
5: Last but not least, we honor the fact that “Capital preservation beats wealth generation” We protect our gains

With Options we can literally say “This one has a X % chance of going green within X days and by X in price…… Stocks? Flip a quarter…… Seeing the advantage?

CAT is gapping up over 2% this morning, I have a plan for it, going to wait until after the market opens to see Options prices, we need to remember that it reports earnings on OCT 26, 2024.

Yesterday I spent some time scanning for our next CAT, lets talk about those later today.
