Good Morning Traders

The indexes are up slightly, lets see if this holds
$DJI ( ▼ 0.38% )  
$SPY ( ▲ 0.55% )  
$QQQ ( ▼ 0.15% )  

What are things that you appreciate about others? For me one of them is transparency
Recently a younger gentleman I used to know reached out to me
Hadn’t seen or heard from him in at least 6-7 years

He has a good career, then trades on the side
Like many he’s made money, lost money, up and down

The thing about him that always, from Day #1, that I appreciated is his transparency
There’s no “rose colored glasses” ( good gawd, we can be our own enemies there )
There’s no “victory laps” when he’s doing well
There’s no “gonna fake it til I make it” either

The man is open minded, un-biased, and just plain transparent
That level of transparency allows one to not only see, but to work on any “kinks in their armor” Which is what he’s doing

We have to be honest with ourselves first as to where we are, what we’re doing, and HOW WE PLAN to progress to the next level if we ever want to achieve

A few of our friends are showing signs of recovery from yesterdays draw down
Names like $COP ( ▲ 2.6% ) and $TSLA ( ▲ 0.82% )  
Right now $JPM ( ▲ 0.56% )  appears to be in play
Right now it’s at the top of its channel
Right now its 4.7% above its Recognized M.A. which is the 50
Right now we have to be honest with ourselves about all of that and be cautious with any new trades on it
JPM reports earnings on OCT 14, 2025
Lets protect ourselves here with a Bull Call Spread and see if we can’t get a scalp and some profits before then

We buy at the MID price or better
We set STOPS and HONOR them

For OCT 10, 2025
Buy the 312.5 Call
Sell the 317.5 Call
The MID price is 2.28

Another one to consider is ( same date )
Buy the 312.5 Call
Sell the 320 Call
The MID price is 3.17

If a trader was willing to for go any down side protection and simply wanted “Blind Calls”
Those OCT 10, 2025’s are 4.70 at the MID for the 315’s
For a little bit more security the 310’s are 7.35 at the MID

Traders, there is nothing that replaces being honest with ourselves and others
Not only in trading / investing, but in life
