Should You Be Practicing Right Now?

Hello Traders,

My hope is that this finds all of you doing well today. After Bruce Lee the world famous Martial Artist made his way to America he soon opened his own Martial Arts studio. He took lots of heat from other Kung Fu artists because he would go around San Francisco saying that he was the best. Many felt that he had not earned that right yet because he was young and unproven. When he was just 23 he was challenged to fight one of if not the premiere fighters of his genre and time. He did so and came out victorious. He stated that he did so because he practiced constantly. It became his life. And he would go on to not only be the best that he could be but the best in his craft.

Trading is a craft. A lot of professions are treated as such due to the amount of work, time and practice it takes for one to elevate in their particular craft. Anyone who does not recognize that or treat it as such has not ever gone far and most probably wont. Where do we go in 2016 from here? Only time will tell.. But what we can do is dedicate ourselves to practice our craft to be the best that we each can be. There are many ways to start, first off you should have your trading plan wrote out.  I’m re-writing mine. And 2nd is to educate ourselves. If you are a growth investor like myself and are interested in receiving recurring educational material on the markets, strategies, moving averages, indicators, investor psychology, trade examples, chart patterns and formations and how they all tie in together then I invite you to receive free posts from my Blog. I am moving away from the newsletters to write a Blog that will be structured for educational purposes. There will also be videos of past trades and explanations of how and why they worked or did not. The goal is to put out 2 writings or lessons per week and adjust as time goes on.

Don’t forget to ask yourselves “Should you be practicing right now?”
