How was your week? The markets did pretty well, hopefully all of you did too.

On Sunday nights I like to compare the last week to the last month to the past 3 months. When doing so we can spot where the true leaders are and those that are still working to prove themselves. With Utilities dominating in the past 3 months lets take a look at it’s Sector Strength. NEE is the strongest in that sector with a commanding 34% return these past 3 months followed by AEP up 19.50%

There may be stocks with stronger gains in that period but we are talking about the strongest Sector… That also means that the Sector itself is filled with stocks that are making consistent gains. Sector Rotation can shake investors out, but until that happens it remains wise to follow the leaders. They are in the head of the pack.
