Sunday Night Weekly Review July 14, 2024

What a week we had this past week. If your not sea sick by now good for you. HD a long time favorite of mine is showing signs of more growth. I’m a huge fan of using multi time framed charts. This chart of HD is a 5 year chart using Weekly bars. It’s no secret that this is what we look for when we want to see a Cup and Handle pattern. If you are new to investingwithfaith.com we are fans of proven chart patterns, and this one is strong.

The markets are broadening right now, I have no intentions of dismissing tech as it’s here to stay. I am however looking for fresh opportunities for longer term plays. Set ups like the Cup and Handle pattern and the Inverse Head and Shoulders patterns are showing up on my scans more and more every day. So what we do with those set ups is place them on our “Watch List” W.L.’s are just that, we watch them until they meet our criteria to enter. If they don’t no worries we move on to others that do. Over the years I have seen investors that think because a stock in on their W.L. that means it is a “Must Buy”::: That is just not the case. I’d rather have a W.L with 10 stocks on it that go no where and that I never entered than have 10 stocks on the W.L. and bought at the wrong times. AGM, IJR and WM are all names that have recently made the W.L.

Yes they may have all made recent moves and watching for pullbacks to enter upon could prove beneficial, but remember that “Strength typically creates more strength”. And we love buying strength.
