The “Kitty Roared”
It’s not often that we see the kind of explosive results with a stock that did not have an earnings announcement, a news announcement or even just an “announcement” of any kind, the way we saw both AMC +111% and GME +81% explode north today.
How you ask? Simply by a “Tweet” That tweet came from none other than Keith Gill, otherwise known as “Roaring Kitty” Mr. Gill is considered to be the father of the Meme Stock Craze. A self taught Options trader of Millennium age, a family man, who worked in the insurance business and studied Compliance. A regular guy, the guy next door if you will. Having “cashed out” 3 years ago with his 20 Million in profits he laid low until today. One Trader, One Tweet, that’s all it took to raise the Relative Volume in AMC alone up 12:1…. You read that right, R.V. was 12 times higher today than on average.
That tweet was of a man in a chair leaning forward, the meaning for that is “It’s time to get serious”
As an Options trader I profited from todays price movement. And if there are any take aways from this they are: To expect the unexpected, the reason behind a price movement doesn’t matter. And when it comes to investing, there are times, we need to get to work, and to get serious.
Invest wisely, live charitably and be well
