Weekly Recap
It’s Labor Day weekend, hopefully your enjoying it
If your new here Welcome, we’re glad that your here
If you haven’t taken time yet to go out and walk in nature this weekend I’d encourage you to do so
Do you have trees on your property? Big giant trees? I do, lots of them
The other day a limb fell, “Lady Luck” was with me as it was a big one, a few hundred pounds at least, if not more. Where I got so lucky is it missed my truck by less than a foot. And had it of gone the other way it could of landed on my garage roof.. uhhgggg
Well it didn’t, and I’ve already not only cut it all up, but hauled it out back and burned all of it in my bonfire pit. Gone, all of it, not a trace of busted up brokenness to be found
Trading / Investing is hard, it is. I’m not going to lie to you. It’s not for everyone
One of the hardest things about trading / investing is cutting losses small, very very small, and getting out or moving on. That giant limb that fell on my driveway? All of the leaves on it were green. Nothing appeared to be bad or wrong
Setting profit targets is another thing that is hard for many traders / investors
Everything may look great, but an investment should always, always ALWAYS have a profit target before even clicking the buy button
And time, how much time will you allow to pass, how much time will you allow your hard earned capital to depreciate because you “know” your stock is getting ready to go to “da moon” as it just sits there, or worse yet, goes south. All the while you could of been allocating those funds into other positions that are already preforming for you
Right now I feel like there should be the “Closing pitch “ coming in but that’s not what this is about. One of my objectives here at theoptionscoach.net is offer simple, easy to follow education to help others achieve their goals. One of, and in doing so I share real life past trading experiences of my own and that of others that I know or have met in the investing world. In this game, learning from past experiences pays dividends
Summer of 2025 is over. This week starts the beginning of a new month, and of Fall
All of us, and I do mean alllllllllllllll of us, couldn’t wait for 2024 to be gone, and it is
We now have 4 months left in this calendar year
Seasonally speaking stocks typically begin to pick up after mid September, there’s no guarantee in that, but it’s historically accurate
Right now the markets are factoring in a 85% chance that The FED will cut rates by .25 basis points in SEPT. Banks, remember how we’ve been friends with JPM for a long time now? Banks will be back in focus
Investors would be wise to be watching industrials and consumer staples as well
We’re not news driven here, never have been, never will be, but when the charts and the Order Flow begins to offer us signals, and the Options buying increases? We get to work
Those will tell us before the news ever comes out
