Weekly Recap JAN 11, 2026

The markets caught some fresh air this week

Friday was a weird day for me, I mean a really, really weird day…. Trading wise it was good, we’ll look at that in a minute
Friday a buddies buddy died. He was only 42… He drank, a lot… I could feel my buddies pain, regrets, remorse, doubts, its not good
Then I went and saw a long time buddy, he’s 63, has health issues, he’s struggling
To finish Freaky Fridays trilogy a long lost buddy I haven’t heard from in years text me out of the blue.. He stumbled in life, but got himself together and got back up
Like me he’s a Veteran, former law enforcement, and a trader too
Seems like a twin brother thing, he only trades Futures though, maybe one day he’ll advance to Options 😁 🤣 😉 

I share that to say that we’re all human, and we’re all affected by the choices we make
There will be times when things will be out of our hands
But when we do the work, we can rebuild ourselves
The stock market is no different

Traders allow me to introduce our newest BFF $CASY ( ▲ 1.27% )  

If you don’t have Casey’s where you live then you should consider moving 🙃 
They are convenience stores / gas stations / with built in pizza to go shop
You can either buy by the slice, or whole pie’s, and it’s good stuff

I came across CASY on a scan Thursday then entered Friday
This falls into the category of GE, JPM and GOOG where I intend to play long for the foreseeable future. CASY had a big week last week gaining over 6%
At one point on Friday the stock was up 3%, my Options on it were up over 45%
Yes, 45% in one day
The cost per contract was roughly $1,400.00
I bought 10 contracts
So on that $14,000.00 investment my 45% one day return comes to $6,300.00
CASY was about $595.00 when I got in
If you had bought $14,000.00 worth of shares you would be up $90.00

Oh yeah, I went back into our old friend $COST ( ▲ 1.05% ) it had a great week closing +8.24% 😁
