Weekly Recap JUL 27, 2025

How have you been? Can I ask that age old worlds stoopidist question that everyone hates “Is it hot enough for you?”
Here in the Midwest we are smack dab center underneath the “Heat Dome”
And these next 3 days are only going to get worse…. uhhhggggggggg……

Stocks have been hot lately, when you see the three month heat map it’s like helloooooo…..
Most familiar names have really been on a streak lately
Futures should open up green tonight as the US and the EU have reached an agreement on tariffs

Earnings season is here
Tuesday we will see BA, PG, SPOT, SBUX and UNH
Wednesday is META, MSFT, and QCOM
Thursday AAPL, AMZN, MA
Friday, Berkshire Hathaway
Lately I’ve been trading DE as the Options are priced more favorably than CAT’s
That is without a doubt, the #1 most underrated thing in Options Land, pricing, the fair value of the Options. I’d be willing to bet the farm that 95% of all traders dismiss that or don’t pay attention to it thus leaving money on the table regularly. A buddy of mine that I’ve mentioned before who was a Market Maker agrees with me on that one. That’s one way the Market Makers make money, they aren’t there to lose

This week I did something that I rarely do. Maybe 1 out of every 70 names that I trade is a lower dollar stock
Well right place, right time, I entered one stock with Options where the stock price was roughly $13.00 on Monday, Friday it closed up over $21.00
The 2nd was roughly $20.00 on Monday, but closed up over $50.00 on Friday
The moral of the story is 2 fold…. 1st up is “adaptability” both of those fit all of the metrics that I speak about except for the dollar amounts.
The second is something that is also underrated but is crucial, focus on your trading system, not the stocks, the stocks don’t make money, it’s your system that determines whether you produce or not
