Weekly Recap

Happy Sunday traders, how was your weekend?
How far did you walk out in nature this weekend?
Fall is here, I hope your making the most of it

The markets had a wild ride this week
$DJI ( ▲ 1.12% ) Weekly +1.56%
$SPY ( ▲ 1.09% ) Weekly +1.74%
$QQQ ( ▲ 1.31% ) Weekly +2.45%
$IWM ( ▲ 1.94% ) Weekly +2.36%

This week I met a really smart gentleman
He owns his own commercial electrical company
But as he puts it “He’s a high dollar light bulb changer”
The guy blew me away, he’s 78, Seventy Eight years old
And he still gets up in a boom truck, wearing a body harness, and changes out lightbulbs in business parking lots. He told me that he has contracts for 170 different business’s here in the Kansas City area. I was like “whatttttttttttttt????” Why?? lol…
He didn’t look 78 and he sure didn’t move like it either
He said since LED lights came out he does less replacements, but bulbs still go out, birds fly into the plastic shields, storms, things happen

Sounds to me like our new electrician friend does more maintenance work than anything else, and in the financial arena, it has served him well

At the moment I feel that way, that we’re on maintenance mode with this market
On Friday I didn’t highlight any new trades, that was the right thing
I did mention that we’re still especially interested in $TSLA ( ▲ 1.85% ) it closed up on the week by 6.24%
$GE ( ▲ 0.85% ) is another of our friends that looks to be setting up for a potential breakout
GE closed up on the week by 3%
$SFM ( ▼ 1.17% ) closed up on the week by 8.80% and closed the Gap it had earlier in the week
We like that
$GOOG ( ▲ 1.27% ) closed up 7% on the week

The last 2 weeks we placed a lot of trades
The only one that I went under on is $JPM ( ▲ 1.55% )
On Friday it bounce up off of its low and closed down 1.11% on the week
Right now it’s hovering the 50 day SMA, any buying Volume would push it north

In the morning I’ll be back with any new set ups

Maintenance should be a part of our daily lives, not just in the markets, but for our overall health as well
This week the rock world lost long time legend Paul “Ace” Frehley from the band “KISS”
That one hit hard for me, KISS was a big part of my childhood
I was even in the “KISS ARMY” lol….. 😁

Frehley wasn’t a natural born rockstar like bandmates Gene Simmons or Paul Stanley, he was a regular guy that played guitar in a rock band, and that band became one of the biggest of all time ever
He left the band in 1982 due to him not wanting commercialism, but to just be a musician
But Frehley was also battling his own demons in the way of substance abuse
In 2006 Paul Frehley found sobriety
He would go on to say that the greatest accomplishment of his life wasn’t being a founding member of KISS, but rather helping others get clean and sober

Our condolences here at theoptionscoach.net go out to his family, friends, and fans everywhere

If you or someone you know or love is wanting help with substance abuse, help is only a phone call away
