Weekly Recap
How was your weekend? Do anything fun? And please tell me you got a chance to check out highlights from the Canelo ( Alvarez ) and Crawford fight last night
It’s undeniable that Canelo Alvarez is the greatest Mexican boxer of all time. I’ve been a fan forever. The man is legit. But last night wasn’t his night. He gave it all he had, and then some. But Terence Crawford is now the undisputed Super Middle Weight Champion of the world. What makes Crawford so unique is 2 things, first off in a boxing first, hes now held 3 separate titles, Junior Welterweight, Welterweight, and Super Middleweight.
Congrats to Mr Crawford, that’s a serious accomplishment
The 2nd thing that makes Crawford so unique is the same thing that makes Canelo unique, class acts, both of them, absolute, total, complete, class acts
Most boxing matches that go down in history like this are usually Heavy Weight matches
Hearns / Hagler back in 85 is the exception. It’s considered one of the Top 10 if not even possibly #1 of all time ever, and the caveat here is that they were Middle Weights too ( I just got goose bumps remembering that one )
Back to Canelo / Crawford. In a act of respect, total class act, after the fight, Crawford crashed Canelos press conference, high fived Canelos daughter, and handed all 3 title belts back to Canelo
Champions are given newly made title belts, with their names on them
So keeping Canelo’s would do him no good, but not all boxers do that
I’m a fan of that old saying “Champions are made, not born”
Last night boxing history was made
This past week the stock market made its own history too
The NASDAQ $QQQ ( ▲ 0.44% ) and the S+P 500 $SPY ( ▼ 0.03% ) both hit fresh new ATH’s
The tech heavy NASDAQ could see some serious action coming up
I’ve said a few times now that the Fall favors tech stocks
And earnings will be here in about 6 weeks or so
Here’s a couple of “market movers” that we here at theoptionscoach.net are fans of
$META ( ▲ 0.63% ) Closed up +0.42% on the week
Earnings comes out on OCT 29, 2025
Options activity is very heavy going into this coming Fridays OPEX
The 800 Call strike is holding a O.I. of over 10K
Puts are roughly around 400
The 780 Strike is Call dominated also with over 10K
Puts do pick up there some but still under 1K
META likes the month of NOV, over the past 5 years on average its increased 4.6% each NOV

$NVDA ( ▲ 0.37% ) wow what a week it had, closing up over 6%
The Bulls are running wild with this one for this week
Lets go::::
The 180 Strike? Calls 79K Puts 9,400
The 182.5 Strike? Calls 52K Puts 1,944
The 185 Strike? 111K Puts 6,342
That’s pretty cray cray….
Earnings don’t come out until NOV 19, 2025
NVDA typically does well in Oct and NOV both at 4.5% average

This past week I traded $TSLA ( ▲ 7.36% ) a lot, and I mean a lot
One of the reasons that I don’t speak about it often on here is its Volatility
Options traders thrive on Volatility, it’s their BFF, investors not so much
But when you look at the Heat Maps you’ll see TSLA doing well again
It might be time to re-visit it
The FED speaks this week
J-Pow delivers remarks at 2pm EST on Wednesday
Some have gone past the anticipated 0.25% move and are now saying with recent inflation data rates could drop by 0.50%
We aren’t fans of trying to outguess the FED or what they will do, but one thing that is undeniable, IFFFFFFFFFFFFFF they drop rates, and drop rates with out any “conditions”, a new market champion could be made with some seriously fresh new ATH’s
