What are you growing?

Do you grow any of your own food? I do, lots of it. It not only saves money, it gets me outside in the fresh air and also tastes completely different than most store bought vegetables. Every year I always notice how noticeably better my body feels after eating fresh from the garden all summer. Then I buy locally sourced meats when I can.

For those that like eating that way but for whatever reason don’t grow their own there’s “Sprouts” ticker symbol SFM. One advantage they and others like them have over larger competitor’s ( In my opinion ) is their stores themselves. They do have delivery using Instacart but it’s the inside store experience that adds to their attractiveness. Many people that want to lead a healthier eating lifestyle typically don’t order their food for pickup or delivery. They don’t. They want to see it, hold it, check it. SFM ensures that if you do have pick up or delivery the quality is premium. Businesses that focus on delivery like WMT and AMZN are trying to sell everything that comes in a box, it’s easier for them.

WMT has a current goal of closing in store grocery shopping within the next few years. I wouldn’t be surprised if stores like SFM benefit from that. SFM currently has 383 stores in 23 states, and more are coming. SFM does sell 100% grass fed beef, if you have never had it I highly recommend it. Where ever you get it from, your taste buds will thank you

This chart of SFM goes back to the start of 2021. I entered this year when it hit my scan for all of it’s strength. And with it’s sustained growth , I’m glad that I did.

It must be true that Spring is “In the Air” Todays Heat Map sure is green…

Be back on Sunday night with the weeks recap and some things to consider
